Brainspotting is a powerful, focused form of treatment that targets the processing of trauma, emotional pain, anxiety and many other challenging symptoms.

Talk therapy works in the cerebral cortex of the brain (outer layer) and trauma is stored in deeper areas of the brain. Brainspotting impacts all layers of the brain, directly impacting the limbic and autonomic systems within the body's central nervous system.

B Snogles is a Telehealth therapist in Michigan that utilizes Brainspotting with clients seeking to process difficult emotions and move through longstanding issues.

Brainspotting is a tool used to locate, process, and release experiences that may not even be understood in the conscious brain. Brainspotting is done by a trained therapist who utilizes a pointer to find spots in your field of view and help you access unprocessed trauma in the subcortical brain.

Frequently asked questions about Brainspotting Intensives

  • Along with attunement with the therapist Brainspotting enables clients to work through things utilizing deeper layers of their brain. This is a focused tool, really narrowing down a spot and spending session time trusting the process, yourself and your brain to guide you where needs healing.

Brainspotting works with the deep brain and the body through its direct access to the autonomic and limbic systems within the body’s central nervous system. Brainspotting is accordingly a physiological tool/treatment which has profound psychological, emotional, and physical consequences.

  • Everyone is of course going to feel differently after Brainspotting. Some suggestions that I make are to plan to relax and rest after Brainspotting, drink lots of water and be sure you eat well. I also like to remind folks that just because the therapy session has ended, that does not mean your brain and body will stop working.

  • Just as with a regular 50 minute session, a superbill will be provided for you to submit to insurance. Insurance may reimburse you part of the fee for an intensive, it is best to call the number on the back of your card,in advance, to find out if and how much. You can

  • 50% of your total intensive fee is due when you schedule, the other 50% is due at the time of the intensive.

  • A therapy intensive is like months of therapy smooshed into a longer session. Instead of meeting once a week or bi-weekly for 50 minutes for months you will meet with the therapist for a longer session or sessions. Intensives can be tailored to your needs and to fit your schedule. Get results faster and with less scheduling woes!

  • Intensives are fully customizable and begin at a 3 hour intensive for $1600. You are welcome to schedule one or multiple days at once. Each intensive comes with an intake session that is comprehensive and steers the work of the intensive. B Snogles will coordinate care with your primary therapist if you sign a release, ensuring the work done in an intensive supports your talk therapy sessions.
